Why integrate with Timely
Common scenarios for SaaS companies building Timely integrations for their customers.
Power AI receptionists for salons and clinics
Vertical AI companies building conversational booking agents need real-time access to Timely calendars to check availability and write confirmed appointments. Offering a native Timely integration means salon customers can onboard without handing over API tokens to yet another vendor.
Drive retention marketing on visit history
MarTech platforms serving beauty and wellness businesses can trigger win-back campaigns, birthday offers, and rebooking nudges based on Timely appointment and client data. A native integration removes the CSV export friction that kills adoption in SMB salons.
Automate stylist commission and payroll
Payroll and FinTech tools can pull Timely invoices and appointments to calculate tiered service and retail commissions per staff member. Salon owners get accurate payouts without touching a spreadsheet, making your product sticky at the operations layer.
Fill canceled slots with waitlist automation
Waitlist and yield management SaaS can watch for cancellations in Timely and instantly notify eligible clients on a third-party waitlist. Salons recover lost revenue and your product proves ROI within the first week.
Feed BI dashboards for multi-location operators
Analytics platforms serving franchise and multi-location salon groups can sync Timely sales, service mix, and staff utilization into unified dashboards. A native integration lets you onboard chains without waiting on Timely's gated API process.
What You Can Build
Ship these features with Truto + Timely
Concrete product features your team can ship faster by leveraging Truto’s Timely integration instead of building from scratch.
Real-time availability lookup
Query staff rosters and existing appointments to surface open time slots inside your own booking UI or AI agent.
Appointment write-back
Create, reschedule, and cancel appointments in Timely directly from your product so users never switch tabs.
Client directory sync
Continuously mirror the Timely client list — including contact details, birthdays, and visit history — into your CRM or marketing tool.
Sales and invoice ingestion
Pull line-item sales data for services, retail, tips, and taxes to power commission engines, accounting sync, or revenue analytics.
No-show and cancellation triggers
React to appointment status changes (Confirmed, Arrived, No-Show, Completed) to drive retention flows or waitlist fills.
Staff and service catalog sync
Read the list of providers, their qualified services, and working hours to keep your product's scheduling logic aligned with the salon's setup.
How It Works
From zero to integrated
Go live with Timely in under an hour. No boilerplate, no maintenance burden.
Link your customer’s Timely account
Use Truto’s frontend SDK to connect your customer’s Timely account. We handle all OAuth and API key flows — you don’t need to create the OAuth app.
We handle authentication
Don’t spend time refreshing access tokens or figuring out secure storage. We handle it and inject credentials into every API request.
Call our API, we call Timely
Truto’s Proxy API is a 1-to-1 mapping of the Timely API. You call us, we call Timely, and pass the response back in the same cycle.
Unified response format
Every response follows a single format across all integrations. We translate Timely’s pagination into unified cursor-based pagination. Data is always in the result attribute.
FAQs
Common questions about Timely on Truto
Authentication, rate limits, data freshness, and everything else you need to know before you integrate.
Does Timely support OAuth for connecting end-user accounts?
No. Timely does not offer OAuth or a public developer registration flow. Access is granted via an account-wide API token that the salon admin generates from their Timely settings. Truto handles secure storage and injection of this token so your end users only paste it once during connect.
Is there a public Timely API you can review?
Timely's REST API is gated and not openly documented — they typically steer non-technical users to Zapier. Truto abstracts this by exposing the underlying endpoints through a consistent interface, so you don't need to negotiate access or reverse-engineer behavior yourself.
Are Timely tools available today in Truto?
Timely is currently built on request. There are no pre-built tools or Unified API resources shipped yet — tell us which objects (Appointments, Clients, Staff, Sales) and operations you need and we will prioritize building them for your use case.
Does Timely support webhooks for real-time updates?
Timely's native webhook support is limited and inconsistent across account tiers. For most use cases, Truto handles change detection via scheduled polling on appointments and clients, and exposes normalized events to your application.
Which Timely data models are most commonly integrated?
The highest-value objects are Appointments (with status, staff, and service), Clients (contact info, birthdays, visit history), Staff and Rosters (working hours, qualified services), and Sales/Invoices (service and retail line items). These cover the majority of scheduling, marketing, and payroll use cases.
Are there rate limits we should design around?
Timely enforces per-account rate limits that are not publicly published and can be strict for high-frequency polling. Truto manages retries, backoff, and request queuing so your integration stays within limits without custom handling on your side.
